Parlamentarium NOUSGuide
How can one introduce the evolution of a complex organization such as the European Union to visitors in 23 languages, interactively, with the addition of barrier-free options? This is the challenge that NOUS posed for itself in planning the visitor guidance system at the parlamentarium.
As a visitor explores the exhibition, the NOUSGuide detects his or her location (“detect me”) via RFID technology and activates the media installation (“be my key”) in the visitor’s language, creating an entirely new, personalized level of interaction between visitors and the exhibition contents. It is the visitors themselves who decide on the breadth (“tell me a story”) and depth of information (“give me deeper information”).
The visitors of the parlamentarium can use one of the 700 NOUSGuides in all 23 EU languages to explore the exhibition. In addition to the various interactivity options, the NOUSGuide has been adapted to different target groups, including children and visually or hearing impaired visitors. A special navigation concept that functions independently of visual elements was developed and for visitors with hearing impairments, the NOUSGuide 4 offers a sign language option.
For content management the staff of the parlamentarium operates with the NOUSConductor System.
